For the second year, Arena invades the New Braunfels Renaissance Festival! Join us for two weekends of fighting, fantasy, and fun!
We will be hosting 4 events each of which will be on a different day.
Dec 6: Sword and Shield. Vikings welcome!
Dec 7: Sword and Buckler. Smaller Vikings Welcome
Dec 13: Rapier and off hand. Be fancy!
Dec 14: Longsword. Be Classic
Tournament fees include free entry to the fair with camping optional. Tournament fighting will be throughout the day. Fighters will understand that each event will be staggered a few hours at a time. We will be sharing a space with other Ren Fair performers so the tournament will be halted periodically so other events can take place. In between tournament fighting, all tournament members are expected and encouraged to free spar in order to not only entertain but bring awareness to our sport. We will have a designated space for free sparing and audience interaction.
While we are aware and understand alcohol is sold at the fair, fighters are not allowed to drink while still active in the tournament. Any fighter suspected of fighting while intoxicated will be removed from the tournament and asked to leave the fair grounds for the remainder of both weekends without a refund, and potentially banned from future events
Please approach this tournament as an exhibition tournament. While the results will be posted to Scorecard and HEMA ratings, we encourage skill, showmanship, and above all sportsmanship. We are representing our sport to the public and putting on a show.
