NOTE: Listed start times refer to pool starts. Fencers will be expected to be ready at their assigned mat checked-in, geared-up, warmed-up and with their weapon, to await gear check at this time. Info regarding pools will be available here on HEMA Scorecard shortly before the competiton.

Weapon requirements

Weapon requirements can now be found within the Holmgång 2026 ruleset listed under “Bring your own weapon”. Find the ruleset here. 

If your weapon does not fulfill the requirements you will not be allowed to compete with it. If this is the case, we first recommend seeing if you can borrow a weapon from your club or fellow club members. If that is not possible for you, Holmgång will have a limited number of weapons available for rent at a price of 250 SEK/weapon & discipline. If demand for rentals is high, we will prioritise renting to beginners. If you are interested in renting a weapon please reach out to us at holmgang.competition@gmail.com.

Location

Holmgång 2026 will be hosted at Eriksdalshallen. Enter through the main entrance (pictured below). We plan on having flags placed at the entrance to help guide you. When inside there will be access to changing rooms, bathrooms etc.

Connections

Eriksdalshallen is easily reachable by tunnelbana (subway), pendeltåg (commuter trains) and bus. Subway station Skanstul (green line) is about 600m away when exiting towards Ringvägen, and commuter train station Södra Station about 700m away when exiting towards Rosenlundsgatan. Several buses service stations in the nearby area including lines 3, 4, 55, 57, 74 and 164 stopping at Eriksdal and Rosenlund right outside the hall. Tickets for traveling with public transport “SL” can be purchased through the SL-application (which also includes a trip-planner) or at train-station ticket-booths and convenience stores such as “Pressbyrån”. You can also pay-as-you-go with a contactless pay enabled card or phone. See the SL-webpage here for more info.

Parking in the area around the hall may be limited, so traveling by public-transport is recommended. However, some parking opportunities within walking distance may be found on (fees may apply, see street signs): 

• Nearby streets, for example Vickersgatan 

• Eriksdals bollplan, located right behind the hall and has a small visitors parking lot

• Scen- & Teaterhögskolan, school parking lot, Allhelgonagatan 4, 80 parking spots, open 24-7.

• Rosenlunds parkeringshus, parking garage, Tideliusgatan 10-12, 85 parking spots, open 06:30 - 23:00

Audience 

You, family, friends and acquaintances are all more than welcome to come watch both on the days and disciplines you’re competing in and not. Eriksdalshallen is a sizable venue with up to 1 300 audience capacity, so we won’t run out of space! 

Livestream

For those who can’t come and attend in person, we plan on livestreaming the entire event including pools. The finals however will feature higher production value including commentators, buttery smooth transitions and more, courtesy of our stream-team. The links to the livestreams will be available here on HEMA Scorecard when the event goes live and on the Holmgång YouTube channel where the VOD’s also will be available some time after the event is over.

Donations to the Charity Prize Pool

If you wanted to donate to the Charity Prize Pool and forgot to do so during the registration, feel free to donate an amount of your choice with the message DONATION via the payment information listed below. 

The Charity Prize Pool is funded by the competitors of Holmgång, sponsors and SPIFF. Each fencer has chosen one of four charities to champion. The further a fencer advances in any given discipline, the larger the portion of the prize pool that will be donated to their championed charity. This year we will be donating to BRIS, Insamlingsstiftelsen Baltic Waters, Doctors Without Borders, and Riksföreningen Sveriges Stadsmissioner.
