This event is run and hosted by representatives of various HEMA clubs across Alberta. This day is meant to be fun, full of learning, and good vibes. Please help us to maintain this atmosphere throughout the day :)
Objectives: To provide accessible cross-training for HEMA clubs and similar sword sports in Alberta, with a special emphasis on building bridges between clubs, addressing weak points in regional practices, improving judging practices, and raising the general competition levels in the region.
Format summary: A half day of judged sparring games followed by a half day experimental tournament. Registrants will be encouraged to suggest problem areas in their own practice they wish to improve, and work with organizers to develop sparring games based around this theme. Topics proposed by intermediate or less-experienced fencers will be prioritized for scheduling. Judging matches will allow fighters a recovery period between matches.

Time: 9 am to 6 pm.
