June 9th is National Rhubarb Pie Day! Get ready for a day of pie-themed excitement at the Rhubarb Rumble! Hosted by SoCal Swords on June 9th, this event welcomes seasoned fighters and newcomers alike. Competitors will have the chance to engage in two thrilling tournament divisions: Beginners Longsword and a Mix & Match Single-Handed Weapons Relay, each offering a unique challenge and the chance to claim victory in their respective categories.
With Combat Con on the horizon, the Rhubarb Rumble serves as the perfect venue to gain valuable ring experience. Novices can test their mettle in the Beginners Longsword division, honing their skills in a supportive yet competitive environment, and preparing for future challenges.
We are also excited to introduce the Mix & Match Single-Handed Weapons Relay. Teams of three will compete in a dynamic, relay-style competition that showcases their prowess with single-handed weapons. Ready your allies - and possibly your off-hands - as each member contributes to the team’s overall success. Don't CRUMBLE under the pressure!

Hey everyone! To make sure we have enough time, I need to cap the amount of participants in the relay. At present we will have about 10 teams so it'll be a full day. We will not be allowing new teams to register for relay, however there is still room to join other teams! If you were hoping to register for the relay, check out HEMA scorecard and look for teams who still need members or unassigned registrants and reach out and see if you can help fill their quota!
