Tournaments
Novice - Padded Longsword
Intended for students new to HEMA who have yet to obtain full gear and are relatively new to any sparring activities
This is intended as an intro tournament, and will have a constrained ruleset
All fencers should be coached during their matches by a more experienced student or instructor
This will be primarily self-called, with a director to guide and correct calls and communicate scoring to the table
Beginners - Steel Longsword
Intended for students who are new to HEMA tournaments, but have full gear available and have at least moderate experience with in-class sparring activities
All fencers should be coached during their matches by a more experienced student or instructor
This will be fully judged and directed
Intermediate - Steel Longsword
Intended for experienced students who have likely participated in local and/or regional tournaments in the past and are well accustomed to sparring
This will be fully judged and directed
Advanced - Steel Longsword
Intended for the most experienced students and instructors who regularly compete at a high level locally and/or regionally
This will be a self-called tournament with a single director to resolve disputes and communicate scoring to the table
We want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone. Please check with your instructor if you are unsure which division to register for, especially if you are registering for the Novice or Beginners tournaments. You may be asked to switch to a different division at the discretion of the tournament organizers.
We are at the number of participants we are able to support for the tournament within our allotted timeframe. Further tournament registrations will be added to the wait-list if anyone drops out or has to withdraw at the last minute.
