This is the tenth (!!!) annual Carranza Cup, run by the Brisbane School of Iberian Swordsmanship.  We continue to offer entry free of charge, as we want everyone who wishes to compete to be able to join us.

The primary purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for relatively inexperienced fencers to gain tournament experience. It will also provide an opportunity for fencers from participating schools to encounter different fencing styles and learn to adapt to them.

Entry is open to current members of historical fencing schools who are insured as such.  If Carranza Cup is over-subscribed we will ask more experienced fencers to step aside to allow less experienced fencers enter.   Interstate visitors can contact us early to check if we can guarantee a place, as can those travelling over 500km.

The Carranza Cup is a medium-intensity tournament.  To get a better understanding of what this means, see this video.
