Welcome to Auf der Hut, presented by Omaha Kunst des Fechtens & The Nebraska Swordfighters Guild!
The phrase "Auf der Hut sein" is a German idiom often used to express that one should be vigilant or cautious in the face of a certain situation. If someone warns you to be “Auf der Hut,” you are being told to be watchful, wary and alert, to be on guard. In this tournament, we would like to stress that every movement matters. Fencers, take the time you may need to find the perfect opportunity to foil your adversaries.
