A Noble Assembly
With the intent to recreate a gathering of Polish nobles meeting to show off their martial prowess and resolve disputes in a way that does not lead to the death of more nobility (everyone knows the top 3 causes of death for nobility are God, honor, and country), a “sejmik” or assembly is being held.
We will be holding a single stick tournament for our great guests to display their prowess and boast of their skills, a friendly stick fighting circle ("Palcaty" for those of you in the know), and a saber tournament to help resolve some judicial duels (we will be judiciously judging your targeting skills).
A gathering of such noble guests requires appropriate care so a grill will be held to ensure that the guests do not go hungry. A variety of traditional Polish foods will be prepared including, pierogi, sausage, onions, and potatoes.
To help build the festive mood, music will be played during fights, a photo backdrop will be set up to capture memories, and those everyone is encouraged to attend in proper attire (medieval/renaissance clothing items or a modern track suit).
