Sword and Buckler (Rated)

This sword and buckler event will be broken into two separate Sword & Buckler tournaments, with the intent to create a space where earlier-period weapons (Arming Sword and Messer) don’t have to compete with the advantages of later-period weapons (Sidesword, Sabre). Please see the weapon requirements for details on weapon and buckler requirements.

We’ll be using a variation on our Point Parity ruleset, with updates on that ruleset to come.

Fighters can sign up for both tournaments, provided that they have weapons that qualify for each.

This event will be rated on HEMA ratings.

Sword and Buckler Rules

Partisan (Not Rated)

his partisan event (formerly announced as Spear +), will feature partisans by descendant leather. No outside weapons will be allowed at this event, though it may be considered at future events. No additional parrying devices or offhand weapons will be allowed, as the partisan should be wielded with two hands.

This event will be NOT rated on HEMA ratings, as it is a mixed weapons event.
