HEMA WashFechten 2026 will be a single day historical fencing event focused on a number of tournaments alongside a separate sparring area to the side.
The disciplines will be longsword open, longsword womens, and a to be announced third discipline. We will be posting further information about them all in future.
The overall format of the tournaments will be the same as last year, while some aspects will hopefully be a worthy improvement based on the constructive comments we've received on our previous versions of WashFechten and from what we've seen of various tournaments globally in the meantime.
The intent of this event is to have as many people enjoy as much great fencing as possible during a single day while also helping people get judging experience and giving various international fencers a chance to connect. We look forward to having you at our event.
