Become the Winter Sovereign! Gain the Golden Scepter of Snow removal! In conjunction with the Midwest Historical Fencing League and Forteza Fitness & Martial Arts the Midwinter Armizare Open is a public display of skill with one and two-handed swords in a relatively rules-light format meant to emphasize the tactical priorities of fighting with sharp weapons in lethal combat. There will be prizes given the winners of each of our 4 tournaments, as well as a special prize for Midwinter champion. Must be 18yrs or older to participate. TOURNAMENTS: 1. Single-Handed Short Weapon (arming sword, sidesword, dussack/messer, etc) 2. Two-Handed Longsword 3. Single-Handed Long Weapon (sidesword & rapier ONLY) 4. Sword and Companion (Buckler, Rotella, Sword, or Dagger) Please be sure to read the rules for clarifications regarding weapons allowed in each tournament.
